Potatoe Derby

After watching the cub scouts have so much fun with their pinewood derby, the Girls decided we would have one of our own. We added our own little twist of course we didn't use pinewood derby cars we used potatoes. This made the decorating much more interesting. The goal was to have a race at the end. There was one particular adult that just enjoyed this activity sooo much he wanted to race his enormous potatoe bus against all the kids to see how he fared. Although everyone did get a chance to race it was more about building the cars and the decorating them. There were a few rules so we could get them on the track the wheels had to measure a certain width and height from the car but other than that there wasn't alot of stipulations.
In the end if wasn't the big heavy potatoes that went the fastest it was the small low to the track potatoes.

Habitat for Humanity

We did lots of cleaning and washing walls. A little goofing around to make things more interesting.

Watch ot for these two with the sponges!!

So much to haul away, load by load we got it all cleaned up.

DESTRUCTION!!!!!

The most fun part of the day was destroying the kitchen cabinets!

Since this was the begining of this build site we were in charge of posting the Habitat for Humanity sign.

All in all it was a fun day a good days worth of work. It felt so good to come home and know we had made a difference today.

YW dress shopping

The Laurels and the Mia Maids are getting ready for the Formal. We went dress shopping together for our Wednesday night activity and had so much fun trying on so many beautiful Modest dresses.

YW updates

The YW ave had some really exciting activities lately. We had an activity night and did everything backwards. Some of our more silly leaders even came dressed backwards.
